philosophy of this creation
This
is the only piece left of my early stage portrait creations. As recorded, this
painting was drawn in the evening with a short time. I was completely
fascinated with portrait paintings when I just returned from Span. I’ve adopted
the technique of rapid brushwork in this production. It reflects the pleasure
of doing quick sketch with pastel.

The
philosophy of this creation
Heng LEE is
my youngest son, he frequently asked why he was not included in the painting
after he became more sensible. Therefore, I started recording a diary for him
with paintings. This piece was completed with quick sketch technique.

philosophy of this creation
Madam Li-Ping is the wife of Mr. Qing-Long Wu and I often call her Mrs. Wu. In this series of
creation, I specially invited her to be my model and was really appreciated her
support. In the painting, smile shown on her face as she was wearing the
accessories given by her children. The most satisfying part in this creation
was Li-Ping’s hands. They were calm and firm. Besides, the texture of silky
cloak was fully demonstrated through pastel. This gave me a different view
about pastel as a painting medium.

the portrait of Ms Tsai. I would like to express the beauty of my teacher using

The
philosophy of this creation
It was
unexpected to know Master Wei-Ding. Master was converted to Japanese Tantrism
and lives in Japan normally. Knowing that I was short of a model, Dr. Lin and
his wife recommended Master Wei-Ding for the job. This is how we became
acquaintance. In the painting, the cassock worn by Master was blended into the
background and left no trace. The atmosphere was solemn in the picture.

Jim is
the friend of Mr. Wen-An Huang Chou. With
Germany lineage, the handsome chin is his sign. I’ve never painted a portrait
of a foreigner, so I was eager to convince him to be my model. In the meantime
of finding a view to start painting, an uninvited guest walked in. It was a
Taiwanese local big dog.

The main character is a child of PaiWan Tribe.
This was to depict him unintentionally looking back. He has a pair of big eyes
which are very clear and bright. Through his eyes, it clearly shows the
glorious childhood. The innocent look in his eyes allows people to be disarmed.
And in that moment, my heart was filled with warmth.

went to America as an exchange student in 2014 summer. It was the first time he

Japan is a very developed country, however, you can easily catch the
sight of people wearing traditional costumes during the weekend. In the
picture, three young women are touring in Kenrokuen Garden together. The
elegant scene is as beautiful as the famous painting “Judgement of Paris”.
Instead of three Muses, this time they are dressed in Kimono.

In
Santorini, white buildings were constructed on the summit. To reach the top of
the mountain, you can ride a donkey, walk or take the cable. I chose to ride a
donkey. My journal of the donkey rides was fresh but accompanied with guilt as
I rode on the winding mountain road.
